As part of the Oceanology course, 2nd year students of the bachelor's program "Geography of Global Changes and Geoinformation Technologies" have participated in a practical trip. Yulia Levkovskaya, a 2nd year student, wrote a blog about the trip.

The laboratory will be led by Robert Sandlersky, a specialist in energy and mass transfer and the study of other properties of landscapes via satellite imagery and Senior Research Fellow at the Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The HSE News Service spoke to Robert about the laboratory’s future activities.

Anastasia Shinkarik, 2nd year student of the Geography of Global Changes and Geoinformation Technology program, won the nomination for a particularly relevant and significant project at the 27th Esri User Conference in Russia and the CIS. Anastasia has presented a geoinformation platform for the graves search at the Northern Cemetery in Perm.

Nikolay Kurichev spoke at the IV International Conference "Natural Tourism: Global Challenges and Prospects for Russia". Within the framework of the plenary session "Natural tourism - a driver of sustainable development", the participants discussed a model of introducing tourists to nature in accordance with the Strategy for the development of tourism in the Russian Federation for the period up to 2035 (approved by the Order of the Government of the Russian Federation of 20.09.2019 No. 2129-r ).

Yulia Kuznetsova, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Geography and Geoinformation Technology was recognized as the Science Journalist of the Year in the category 'Climate Change and Adaptation'.
